Austerity Bites

A few months ago, Ian Duncan Smith was challenged to live for a spell on the benefits that he was claiming were more than generous.

He declined to take up the offer. However, in the Dunkirk spirit of “we’re all in this together” some of his fellow cabinet members and colleagues decided to start eating at a local food bank.

In the picture below we can see them at said food bank. From this picture we can see that the UK government has decided to impose the strictest austerity measures on itself, as they feel it is only fair that they too make the sacrifices that they are forcing everyone else to suffer…
