Time for another sporadic little series.

The first in this series of things that there isn’t a word for is a relatively modern concept.

It is the strange looking away thing that everyone does to be polite when someone else is entering a password into a computer or a PIN into an ATM.

    Good point. I suggest digiverting, from digit and avert, as in “Could you digivert your eyes, please, this is a personal number.”

    Good idea but digi makes me think of fingers somehow

    Well, if it leads to potential identity thieves sticking their fingers into their eyes, so much the better, I should have thought.
