Very busy at the moment so this is an ‘in case you missed these’ post.

Firstly, a quick look at some statistics. These are for acceptance of evolution in certain countries.

Yes, that is the USA beaten into second place by Turkey. I am sure right now across the USA thousands of loons are working hard to change this.

Secondly, not content with getting the origins of the human species wrong, it seems religious people are actually worse than non-religious people in asking questions about religion.

    15 out of 15, although I confess question 15 was a lucky guess. I found it a really easy quiz and was surprised to find the majority of people only get between 5 and 9 right. But I did a similar quiz recently which pointed out that athiests tend to be far more knowledgeable about religions than religious people.

    No but I was punished for having a political opinion.
    I asked the class to think about a famous lie and I told them one of my student’s political opinions with which I took sides.
    The lie I’m referring to is the one told by Usa saying that Iraki is in posession of destructive weapons…
    I used to teach that class English two hours each week untill last week and I am not going to anymore.
    I never used to be in politics before reading your blog.
    I will continue Oh my Captain to suck on the marrow of your blog but I have to be very careful not to choke on it.
