THANK YOU IRELAND

13 06 2008

Well done Ireland for showing us the way against the odds again. As my friend Lonesome sparrow points out, the ‘No’ campaign was outspent 20 to 1.

Despite that, the people of Ireland have rejected the Lisbon Treaty by 53.4% to 46.6% meaning that the treaty in its current form cannot be adopted as EU policy.

He further says what I have been repeating for some time…these reforms that certain of the power and business people want keep coming up in different forms. I am sure they are already planning the next way to try and deceive the people of Europe into accepting these manifestly unpopular measures.

Whenever this has come up for a referendum, the people have said no. Long may it continue.

Thank you Ireland.

The result has put me in a good mood so here is some party time stuff for friday night…

Are you sure? Can’t we just have a four-tier Europe, with Britain at the centre, the rich countries in control, the poor countries doing the labour mobility and Ireland scoffing the subsidies?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see it adopted with Ireland being given an exemption … failing that everything in the treaty will be adopted piece-meal over the next few years.

Europe isn’t about uniting nations and preserving peace … it’s about politicians having power over those they would seek to serve.

[...] Upon hearing the news of the “No” vote, Michael Greenwell has graciously said “Thank you Ireland“. As I think has become clear, though, I’m rather ambivalent about the whole thing. [...]

As predicted:

France and Germany have described the No vote in the referendum as a serious blow but have urged the EU to press ahead with the project.

European Commission head Jose Manuel Barroso said the treaty was not dead.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said the UK would press on with its ratification ….

Alasdair you are quite right- it seems to me that Ireland will be exempted while ratifications occur. I’m sure we’ll manage a few piece-meal subsidies on the side though…

Merci l’Ireland! Thank you from the French who votes no in 2005 for the same treaty. The french governement pass out our vote as the Holland governement did with his own people. This technocratic moloch destroy democracy, the peoples said No many times, Denmark, Ireland, France, Holland and now Irland again, but they dont care. You spoke for the 500 millions europeans who cant. Now its Englishmen turn, I hope they will fight to have a referendum too and stop this madness. Viva Eire!!!

Thank you, Ireland. [...]

THANK YOU IRELAND, YOU HAVE RAISED MY OPINION OF YOU AS A COUNTRY TREMENDOUSLY. NOW WE JUST NEED TO WAIT FOR THE BNP TO RISE TO POWER. IT’S ALREADY ADVANCING ACROSS BRITAIN AND IS ON THE LONDON ASSEMBLY FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! LET’S SHOW THOSE BENT LIBERAL DO-GOODERS THAT WE ARE NOT PREPARED TO FORFEIT OUR SOVEREIGNTY TO EUROPE AND LOSE EVERYTHING WHICH IS GREAT ABOUT OUR COUNTRY: THE INDIVIDUALITY, THE GLORIOUS COUNTRYSIDE WHICH WOULD BE BUILT ON FOR TWO MILLION IMMIGRANTS AND OUR FREEDOMS.

VOTE BNP – give Britain back to the British people!

“… bent liberal do-gooder … ” sounds like typical BNP brainqwashing to me. Rather a liberal do-gooder than a fascist BNP fuck-wit …

Only a prick would vote BNP.

Thank You Ireland !

Vote ‘No’ to EU !
Vote ‘No’ to Dictatorship !
Vote ‘No’ for unlimited multiculturalism, which has proven to been very dangerous to the whole world!

Eu will take countries sovereignities away with its contracts.

* No civil discussion about important things. (EU dictators don’t care about your opinions, they care only about money and power)

* Limited freedom of speech. (discussion about multiculturalism and safe future will be forbidden. Critizing multiculturalism is always “racism”, which is NOT true. Have you seen statistics? Those are abhorrent! )

Defend your intependence all around the Europe!

Finnish Government didn’t (and all the other Governments also) even know what they are deciding, because the Lisbon Treaty was so obscure ! You can read the Lisbon Treaty -pdf document on internet. Say, if you understand it =)

When next EU contract arrives… remember: Vote NO for CHEATING!
