VERY BUSY
30 05 2007
Unfortunately, I am very busy with other things for most of this week and I don’t think I will have time to do much writing. Therefore, I shall be posting some excellent short clips and pieces from various writers. Yesterday was Bertolt Brecht, today is Samuel Beckett. This short play is about 15 minutes altogether (it is in two parts).
WHAT WHERE - by Samuel Beckett
Don’t work too hard. I recognize the actor that was the father of Billy Elliott. I loved that movie. The other fellow was in Braveheart. I don’t remember their names…but they are both fine actors.
well spotted. the father of billy elliot guy is called gary lewis. i can’t remember the braveheart guys name.
So the “owner of this video doesn’t allow video embedding”. And YouTube DOES?? Hmm.
Here you go.

I’m not friends with one person who would have any desire to discuss that short, and, seriously now, that’s quite depressing.
1 more year. Then I go back to school.
what are you going back to study?
i should have included this bit from ‘waiting for godot’ which says..
Vladimir : Suppose we repented.
Estragon : Repented what?
Vladimir : Oh, we wouldn’t have to into the details.
Ahhh… That’s part of what’s kept me from going back already. What to study? I took the LSAT but don’t Really want to go into Law. Sociology, perhaps? My BA is Pol Sci and Soc is more interesting. Perhaps I’ll do an Online degree in Diplomacy, though where I’d get hired afterward is a terrifying “I don’t know!”.
I loved “Waiting…” in High School. It summed up my take on the world in which I lived.
